The human spirit is uplifted through beautiful and poignant works of art. From Chopin to the Beatles, from Michelangelo to Bernini, and van Gogh to van Dyck, we have always admired the skill and accomplishments of artists in a wide variety of mediums. Few sculptors tackle the difficult material of quartz and semi-precious stones. American gemstone sculptor Jack Williamson, however, specializes in carving jewels and crystals. His work has been featured on Jewelry Television and fine gift galleries throughout the United States and Europe. Somehow, Williamson manages to capture a touch of magic and movement in the hard stones and bring to life the spirit of his subject matter. This standing point of quartz mined in Brazil, is only two inches tall, yet the artist brought out the majesty of a large horse in full motion. I think the world around us inspires artists to take up pen and paper, knife and chisel, or guitar and drum. We feel compelled to express our love and concern for the Universe and for one another. Perhaps the medium of poetry conveys pleasure and tragedy most eloquently. In any case, the Ghost Horses have already inspired writers, sculptors, illustrators, and musicians. I am so blessed to care for the stallions and mares each day. They continue to gallop on, holding a light up for the nations of our planet. Their beauty and power are a symbol of the splendid nature of all life on Earth. We recently discovered that there are less than 300 brood mares of this genetic background left on planet, and that by the year 2100, scientists predict that one-half of all species of plants and animals will be extinct at the current rate of decline. That statistic is most alarming, for genetic variety is part of the health of our world. It is an honor to keep these rare equines alive and well. Ghost Horse Prairie Ranch is delighted to announce the birth of a beautiful new filly! Gwydia's Stardust Serenade gave birth to Ghost Horse Solstice Serenade on the day before the Summer Solstice for the Northern Hemisphere. The foal has pale blue-violet eyes and a soft, creamy coat. We know she is either a smokey-cream or a perlino. Her sire is Ellevar's Ivory Steed. Next to foal this summer will be Hensley's Ginger, our lovely perlino mare. The foals bring hope to the world at a time when many people are experiencing frustration and despair. Nature provides us with reminders that goodness and joy are all around us. As I finished THE TURN OF THE BLADE manuscript, I noticed that many details are coming together for a bright future for the Ghost Horses.  I give thanks for all of our worldwide fans and visitors to this website who have made progress possible. The Ghost Horses continue to gallop for the Earth and to bring light to all.

What is this light that means so much to all the Nations of our special planet? Light is not just vibrant energy that we perceive with our eyes. "Light," in this instance, refers to the radiance of love, compassion, kindness, wisdom, patience, and charity. These gifts may be shared by people from every land and culture. The Ghost Horses are a symbol of the connection between Nature and humankind. This connection guides both Indigenous and modern man into conscientious interactions. By remembering that we are all interconnected, each person becomes aware of the consequences of his or her actions. What goes around, comes around. Respect for our environment teaches us respect for other human beings. We are all a part of a giant circle, or sacred hoop of life. I wish each of our fans much wisdom and compassion in their personal journeys as they discover the awesome mystery of connection.

Just around the bend in our interconnected, global lives is a place of peace and restoration. I believe more and more people, both men and woman, boys and girls, are actively searching for new models of constructive human behavior. We are capable of far more kindness, tolerance, and creativity. We are capable of far more love and compassion for the suffering of our fellow nations. The Earth is churning, adjusting, and growing. Global storms and environmental disasters mixed with industrial accidents are getting our attention. Political instability and economic uncertainty go hand in hand with this unpredictable state of current affairs.

THE GHOST HORSE HOLLOW ADVENTURES take place in the near future in the wake of these storms and continental shifts. The young heroes and heroines work together to solve problems and support each other everyday. The kids are smart, tough, brave, and caring. They are wise beyond their years, because they have to be. I set out to write a series of adventures that would excite the hearts and minds of children all around the planet. These tales are for them. It is with great determination that I continue to seek representation for the Ghost Horse Hollow children's book fantasy. I hope, and trust, that I will soon share with all my website visitors some very happy news to that end.
For now, I am delighted to inform you that we are expecting two baby horses on the ranch in the next few weeks. Ellevar's Ivory Steed is the sire for both foals. More news to follow later in May!
