Lord Dia the Deer

The King Stag of the Woodlands and Upland Meadows appears in each of the nine novels!

The MacKennon homesteaders have many allies in the woodlands, meadows, and farmlands, like Three Toe the Bear and Washy the Raccoon. The wild creatures and the domesticated animals, such as Amberbuck the Billy Goat, help the Two-leggeds to survive and to escape from the occasional treacherous fairy, especially Tormac the Autumn Fairy Prince. Some of the Four-leggeds can speak quite clearly, while others communicate telepathically. Wait until you read of Motherhawk, the Red Tail Guardian!  Everyone is always asking Sir Finnias Glowgold about Black Bottom the Rooster. That special chicken is usually hiding in the cookie jar or strutting around Ghost Horse Hollow.

The Two-leggeds of Ghost Horse Hollow know that Humankind must be respectful towards all the creatures on  our planet. We share the world with them.  Environmental Education and Renewable Resource Management are fields of study for every Earth citizen to consider with the utmost care.  Each decision to preserve and protect the ecosystems of our world will assist future generations in having plenty of fresh air,  quality food, clean water, and good health.  Wild animals require privacy, quiet, and large amounts of territory to remain free.  Ghost Horse Hollow is a joyful place, because the humans are both humble and responsible. Being strong means being in balance for the benefit of All. A peaceful Earth is a responsible Earth. The actions and attitudes of each person circle around the globe. We are all connected. This is an ancient concept that applies to every Nation. It is just one of the important teachings of the Medicine Wheel........... Aho, All My Relations

Every ecosytem needs careful management!

There are so many ways that we as Earth citizens can honor the Creature Teachers. Each animal has a story to tell about relationships and inner development. For example, ducks teach us to let troubles roll off our backs, just as water rolls off the feathers of these graceful creatures. Deer Medicine teaches us to be humble and kind as we face our greatest fears. Wolf Medicine helps us to understand loyalty and the process of teaching others as we grow.

These are just a few examples of how our fellow creatures guide humans through the challenges of life and open the individual to embracing Great Mystery. People who wish to stand tall, must give respect to All. You will learn more about the Creature Teachers as The Fairy Lore of Ghost Horse Hollow unfolds. The Lore consists of seven teachings guarded by seven totem animals. These principles are revealed as the adventures gallop along! The first three laws are disclosed in Part I: TURN OF THE BLADE.
