The magical sprites in Ghost Horse
Hollow are divided into two camps : The Starlight Fairies & the Moonlight Fairies. Members of the Starlight Kingdom are
responsible for the growth and nurturing of seeds. Their duties include the harvesting of vegetables and fruits, the tending
of grains and grasses, and the trimming of vines and climbing roses. The Moonlight Fairies take care of all the mushrooms
and tree bark in the Fairylands. They also oversee the process of decay in the graveyards and the ancient tombs.
The Starlight and Moonlight Fairies appear in various sizes, since they all love to play with Sprinkle Up Spray
and Dwindle Down Dust.

Why are the fairies of Ghost Horse Hollow so special?
|
- The Starlight & Moonlight Fairies sparkled into existence during the first
dawn and the first moonrise on planet Earth. The sprites are quite old, but ever beautiful, except for the
disfigured offspring of the Moonlight Fairy King and Queen, Lord Thrace-rak and Lady Vipress.
- The
fairies can hide their wings from time to time. They walk through the human world undetected, especially during fairs, horse
races, and celebrations.
- The Magic Folk are expert combatants ... highly trained,
swift, and deadly accurate with thin swords and long daggers.
- The fairies disappear, upon occasion,
into the Realm of Dreams & Whispers, where they rest quietly under the stars in beds of mist and clouds. Exceptional
events may lead to their return to Earth.
- If a human and a fairy intermarry, the resulting child may be born without
wings. The four petals of the magic wings may be earned, but the corresponding tests of courage, leadership, service,
and compassion are nearly impossible to complete. As the story begins, only two half-humans in all eternity
have managed to earn their wings.
